Louise & Gavin

Louise is a caring person who always has time for her family with their many dilemas, it doesn't matter what it is, super-lou will come running to help. Louise likes to just chill out and read a good book or write a poem, but there is nothing she enjoys more that sitting in front of the TV, remote in one hand, spoon in the other with a big bowl of ice cream on her lap!
She can't wait to get married, move house and start a family and live out her 'happily ever after' with the man of her dreams!

Gavin is a vibrant, energetic, hyperactive guy who loves creating things. He is very determined and always achieves what he sets out to do. He enjoys sports - especially basketball and karate in which he has earned a third dan black belt and he runs two childrens classes on his own which he loves as it combines two of his favourite things - karate and making money! He is a funny kinda guy and people can often be heard laughing in disbelief at something he has said! He enjoys his job - even if working with Lou annoys him at times! He also likes music and loves movies. Gavin is the first to admit that he can be likened to marmite - you either love him or hate him!

Louise started a new course at the college she had just completed a GNVQ qualification at, Gavin came into the lecture room on the first day (late of course!) and she instantly wanted to know who he was. They spent weeks playing pool at lunchtimes in the pub closest to the college with Louise flirting and trying not to be too obvious. She didn't want to like him as she thought he was a bit obnoxious and thought far too much of himself. After months of one sided flirting and one of their mutual friends dropping hints to Gavin, Louise finally took a big step and got in to Gavin's car for a lift home. She lived in Folkestone, Gavin lived in Ashford but Louise was so deperate to get to know him better she let him drive her to the train station in Ashford only for her to get a train back to Folkestone! This went on for weeks on end before eventually Louise had a get together at her house with a few others from college. At some point everyone else got the hint and went out for a cigarette (even the non smokers!) leaving Gavin and Louise alone together and hence the deal was sealed with a kiss!

On Louise's 21st birthday, just fifteen days before their three year anniversary, Gavin dragged her into a travel agents where they decided to book a four day holiday to Disneyland Paris to celebrate their anniversary. On the 11th of January 2007 they celebrated that anniversary with dinner at a hotel near the main Disneyland Parks. After dinner they walked back to their own hotel, Louise's feet started hurting (damn heels!) so she took her shoes off but walking barefoot hurt even more. Gavin - being the gentleman he is - removed his shoes and walked the rest of the way in just his socks (sloshed back to the hotel would be more appropriate - it had been raining all day!) and let Lou put his size tens on her size fives! As they neared their hotel Gavin started talking about the first time he had said 'I Love You', years before in a pub in Lille, France. He had said it in French. At this point they reached a bridge crossing a wide lake with swans swimming about. Gavin pulled her to him, got down on one knee under the starlit sky, pulled a small box from his jacket pocket and said 'I have a new one for you...' he then proposed in French. (No he can't remember what it was!) Louise almost burst into tears but stayed calm enough to say yes. They left the bridge with Gavin making comments about dropping the ring in the lake and having to dive in after it. He finally put the ring on under a street lamp and they walked the rest of the way to their hotel in a euphoric state of bliss!
